Review 10/1/2010
|
I recently bought a Mac Pro computer ($1800)and Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Student and Teacher Edition ($449.95)for my college student daughter. Both were purchased from Apple on the same order. The software requires validation of student status to receive the serial number to install the program. That is reasonable. We submitted my daughters pictured student ID and her 2010 college bill as validation. The ID was submitted at least three times. The bill was submitted twice. It has been four months and we have not received the serial number.
We have e-mailed Tech Support at both Apple and Adobe. We have chatted on-line with both. We have spoken to Customer Service at both Apple and Adobe multiple times. Apple tells us to call Adobe and Adobe tells us to call Apple. They are courteous but neither are willing to give us or even help us get the serial number. They tell us they will call us back but do not. After wading through the automated answering menus, we have had to wait on hold as long as 1.5 hours.
Apple sold us the software and made the profit from the sale. Apple is responsible to make sure we receive the complete product.
