Ordering my fourth Romantic Threads gown
|
I have been a customer of Belinda's since 2010 and have since ordered 3 gowns from her, and am in the process of ordering my fourth. Three of the four gowns have been custom, and one was a sample sale piece. I love Belinda's artistry and vision, and her
ability to translate my ideas for a perfect gown into a reality. I do a lot of masquerade balls and gothic events and her gown is always a showstopper which receives praise from everyone who sees it. As a woman over 6'0" tall with a larger bustline, I find
it hard to fit off the rack gowns, and even harder to find a gown which reflects my personal style. Belinda's gowns always suit my needs. I have shopped multiple times for "less expensive" pieces, but what I have come to realize is that I'd rather budget for
the more expensive gown than settle for something that lacks character and flair. Belinda's communication is always excellent, and she responds promptly to all e-mails. My only complaint about her services is how she can be stretched very thin and that can
sometimes cause a shipping delay with custom orders. Despite that, all gowns HAVE gotten to me by the date I requested (sometimes ON the date requested), but I have learned to trust that her gowns always fit. She even had one gown she was finishing for me
on the way to the post office - she is truly dedicated to her product. If I could ask anything, it would be that her work load/schedule functioned a little more smoothly - she does everything she can to accommodate the wishes of brides and ladies everywhere
who have very particular requests, and I know it causes her a great deal of stress and time crunch. For those who may be concerned about tight timelines, I can assure you I have always gotten my product on time. Only once was there anything "incomplete" (the
clasp on a skirt hadn't been sewed in yet), and although a little extra trouble on my part, the gown itself was perfect and fit like a dream. I will continue to order and work with belinda in the future, and I have stopped looking elsewhere for gowns that
will reflect my unique personality and sense of style. Belinda really is the only couture dressmaker I will use.
