R & G Carpet service came out to my house on 08/06/07. They were the subcontractor hired by Lowes store to install flooring in my bathroom and laundry room. They were paid to remove the toilet, washer, and dryer.
After they completed the job and left, I noticed the washer was leaking and the toilet was plugged. I called them within 20 minutes of leaving; they stated they would return in the morning to fix both problems.
I turned the water off to the toilet, little did I know they had dropped the old toilet wax ring down the drain line. This resulted in sewage coming back out the toilet and flooding the bottom floor of my house, destroying wood and carpet flooring plus the new flooring.
I am now in a battle with the insurance company over who’s going to pay the thousands of dollars of damage, caused by this company who didn’t take the time to see where the old wax ring disappeared to.
