12 years ago I graduated this program and cannot say enough about how my life has been since. One of the first things I learned was how to control communication. All through my life I was affected by things that were said to me and things that I said to others. these things had a deep impact and had, in the past, totally destroyed relationships and caused me to make terrible decisions as a result.
Good communication with control is a fundamental in having good healthy relationships. I realized how powerful this was when my father, who I had had a very rocky relationship with, came to pick me up for a visit while I was on the program. As we were driving he brought up some old painful memories, not realizing the effects they would have. I was able to steer the conversation into something positive and we had a great time as a result. After all, I knew all along my dad had not driven all that way to create an upset for me. My father and I are very close and he was there for me when i needed it.
I don't know of any other programs that go into the basics of how to live life and be happy and provides to tools to do so in such and in depth manner. Maybe the exist but I have yet to see one. Thank you Narconon Vista Bay for being there to help me and thousands of other addicts who desperately needed your services.
