Review 10/2/2010

On 19 July, 2010, we ordered a Tokin D7321-B001-S1-0 LCD Inverter which was advertised as the proper replacement for a Toshiba Satellite laptop monitor. As soon as we received the item, I found that it was the replacement for a Sony laptop. The part number was D2037-B001-S3. We paid $31.94 plus $13.13 for shipping with a total of $45.07.
We called and left emails for 5 days, with no response. On the 27th of July, we tried their online form for requesting an RMA. We were emailed an RMA number with instructions for returning the item. The item was shipped on 28 July, 2010. Of course, we paid the return shipping. UPS tracking showed that the item was received by “Rirai” on 04 August, 2010.
We waited for 30 days for our refund, which is what we asked for when submitting our RMA. We got no phone call, no email, and no refund. We called several times and finally reached a human being that said that we needed to call and actually “ask” for a refund. So we officially “asked” for a refund and was told that we had to call back within a week to see if the refund was approved.
On 22 Sept, 2010, E-Tech Silicon Valley deposited $29.95 back into my purchasing account. This is not the $31.94 that I actually paid, but I will not waste another moment with this company.
I’ve seen other online complaints against this company, and their answer always seems to be that they have written policies and procedures in place. We used what was given to us and this was our outcome. Obviously, I will NEVER use this company again and recommend that you take the extra minute and find another online vendor. I should have listened to all those others that tried to warn us up front.
Take these complaints seriously and find another vendor.
