Two Dollens Electric subsidiary Sunnycal Solar (wrote contract as Dollens Electric) representitives came to my house and looked at my solar system wiring. They looked at the job and said that it would be no problem to do it in a half day. They assured me that the boss, Steve Dollens, would come out and inspect the work.
I had the technician work a half day with the carpenters help and he installed my AC panel, pulled wires through the conduit and wired my charge controller and inverter.
When the job was finished I was not at home and the representive did not leave an invoice.
I inspected the work and found many faults in quality and workmanship as well as non compliant wiring. I called him back to re-do the work and asked him about Steve Dollens and he again said he would come out and inspect.
After the technician came out a second time, I asked for an invoice and he said he forgot to bring it so I had him sign the wall next to the work. He said his boss would be out to inspect the wiring.
I finally called Steve Dollens and he said he would come out and look at the job. He acknowleged the faults and said he wanted the technician to come back and finish so he would "feel good" about his work.
The two of them returned and spent approx three hours disassembling the wiring and re-wiring.
I inspected their wiring after they left and found that the inverter was wired backwards and so was the electrical panel. The equipment I have is all very easy, all terminals in inverter and elec. panel are labled, pre wired from the factory. Installation diagrams are easy to read and I don't know how a licensed electrician can make so many mistakes. I have had to hire a competent electrician to fix the wiring. I want a refund from Steve Dollens for the incompetent and dangerous work they did.

This is an unreasonable review.
1) Even though this customer knew of our company, she hired one of our employees to do her work as a "side-job", without engaging with the company.
2) She then called to complain about the job the worker did.
3) In effort to assist her, we provided approximately 8 hours of labor, and only charged her $100 for the labor. It was a gift! All seemed well for a couple of weeks.
4) Then we hear she complained again.....wow! I then gave her a full refund of the initial workers wages, and all monies paid the company for parts and labor.
5) She still complained..........but she did cash the refund check. Interesting! Maybe we need to be able to review the reviewers.
Other contractors beware!
