Approx two years ago I purchased the L-300 leg stimulator from Bioness.I use it about four times a week. The leg strap broke of after about fifteen months (I am not a large woman I am 5-2 112 lbs).Upon calling customer support I was informed that it seemed to be a problem with the device but was not covered.I had to purchase a warranty for $500 back for three months to the original purchase date plus one year. Now,two years later, they have sent me a bill saying I rented the device for a period of time but can not verify any dates. They are trying to bill me for $400 due to their billing dept. failing to bill my health care correctly and omitting my $500 deductible in their health claim form.I have an agreement on their letter head acknowledging the $500 deductible which they will not address.I have sent numerous emails, faxes and made phone calls trying to get them to acknowledge this but all I get is an email saying they will give me a$300 allowance with no penalties if I pay now.I am in the process of filing a complaint with the BBB to solve this issue. The Director of Client Relations ,Sharon Evans, has failed to answer any the questions I have regarding the bill.It would be a good idea to make sure you correctly understand and have a copy in writing of any dealings with Bioness.I wish I could give it no stars as to customer relations. This pratice seems to prey on people who need the device the most.
