*************************************************** FMCSA ISSUES RULE ENHANCING HOUSEHOLD GOODS CONSUMER PROTECTION The U.S. DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has issued an interim final rule specifying how interstate household goods (HHG) movers and brokers must assist their individual customers shipping household goods. "This rule promotes fair dealing by movers and provides consumers with the necessary information to make educated decisions about moving their belongings across state lines," said FMCSA Administrator-Designate Annette M. Sandberg" *************************************************** There was no information supplied to me. They raised the rate when the guy loaded the truck and then had the guts to want to raise the rate when delivering the goods after I signed the bill of lading on the pick up end. That alone is illegal. Finally, they broke item that will cost me $547. to replace and they offered me $150.
