Very Very Shady people.
Went there to check out a car that was in my price range and look around in the bay area for a nice vehicle. It was a 2003 Murano for a decent price and I found out why.
Went there on 6/18/10 to check out the car with my wife. Test drove the car and it seems aright for the meantime. No check engine light was on the dash. But we did notice that it needed a few things like new brakes and rotors, oil change, tires, and needed to fix a oil leak somewhere, and missing interior trim pieces. We asked "Ed" what happen to the pieces and he told me that he ordered it at the dealership for the driver sunvisor and it should come soon after the purchase of the vehicle. At the end of the day we talked him down to a final price. Put a $500 deposit down to pick it up the next day.
6/19/10
Went down to pick up the car and again asked him about the sunvisor, missing door lock and he told me that when the sunvisor came it would be mailed to us or the option was to have my choice of dealer to mail it to us. Then I was thinking to myself..humm better have that in writing just in case.
So we continued to discuss the price of the vehicle and ended up with an agreement which we both have neutral compromise. On the receipt of the vehicle it states "dealer promise sunvisor, door lock, and missing radio knob"...so We bought the car on good faith that he would deliever n his promise.
two weeks later...
We called about the sunvisor...Jason (worker) told us that he was on vacation and it was in the mail. He mailed it to us.
Another two weeks.
We called again about the sunvisor and this time they said he was sick....so Im getting nowhere at the moment.
After numerous attempts at calling the office and my wife calling, we get the same excuse, we are looking into it, it is being in the mail, he is not in the office to answer calls., left messages and no one even returned a phone call to us. We probably made at least 6 calls over the course of 2 months.
Another two weeks, it was another worker, who we were able to speak to regarding this issue. He tried the best he can to resolve this issue. but got back to us within 15 minutes and told us that he didnt have the funds to buy a sunvisor for us..Come on.......What a bunch of BS....
I was finally able to contact ED about this issue and I told him that I didnt want to escalate this issue even further by legal actions but he never live up to his promise, no integrity, no honesty, no fair, worst customer service ever experienced....His answer was to sue him...
Talked it over with my wife. I was about to let it go....Whats the deal with a sunvisor anyway, but the way we were treated could happen to anybody of either race or color. So we decided to sue him
I filed a small claims court in Santa clara county to have a fair trial about this issue of a "dealer promised sunvisor"...I'm not even going after the other parts....
So now there is a pending lawsuit schedule unless he decides to resolve this before the deadline..Hired a process server to serve him the legal documents to appear in court.. So now is to wait for the deadline.
All of this is true and 100% accurate. If I could rate the stars I would put it a -5stars and a angry face to it
Update::as of 9-10-2010. I still do not have the sunvisor or the title of ownership to the car. According to DMV records, dealer did not do the paperwork yet even they do charge on the contract. Registration is due this month and no paperwork yet...Called them again and no response...will keep consumer update and aware of sale practices.
