123RV - 123 Rv - You would be amazed how many complaints, yet still in business! They work the system very well!

I WISH I READ YELP FIRST! 123 RV Tustin "Mostly Terrible reviews" 1.5 stars I rented their American Eagle RV for 2 weeks. It broke down in Utah for 4 days. The owner said verbally he would extend the rental the 4 days to offset the 4 down days. We could only extend 2 days so when I returned it (cleaner than I got it) he said the office would handle all refunds. But then they declined refunding the 2 days I was shorted. First they said I was going to stay at that campground anyway which is not at all true. Then finally they said to show the agreement in writing. It was not in writing. But verbal when the owner brought the part to the location where the RV was stranded. 123 RV states they are only the broker not the owner when you rent, but 123 RV owner Gloria and daughter own 4 of their RVs. David, Gloria's husband told me this. But they try to not let you know in order to hide any responsible for the RVs I am guessing. That is how ( I am guessing) they keep a good BBB rating. Blame problems on the RV owners not their broker service. But in this case they are the owners and they ripping me off for two days that I was stranded in a broken RV and not reimbursed for. Broke down for 4 full days, extended 2 days, ripped off for the other 2 days. Also when I called David from the road (day 2) about a sewer smell in the RV he said he didn't know what I was talking about. When I dropped it off he must have forgotten because he said he had the smell looked at before but they didn't find the source. In my opinion these guys lookout for themselves at the expense of their customers. Whether its a comment on something like a sewer leak or refunding for broke down days. To the others who have been posting warnings about them, KEEP THE POSTING UP. I have recently read on other review sites about 123 RV's knack for keeping $$ that they should have returned saying "PROVE IT" after it is too late for the customer to prove it. So get your evidence when you have a problem. They will deny a verbal agreement they have with you and make you show hard proof when you return. Like if your RV won't start VIDEO it not starting! Get them to text you with what the new agreement is. Video the condition of the RV you are renting "everything". Lots of complaints on being charged for old damage. ETC...

Business's response - by Michelle S.on 8/7/2013

I have spoke with the owners and they are certain the verbal agreement was to give you the extra days in the RV at no charge to make up for the few days you were delayed in leaving one campsite to another. In addition, they informed me that they had given you the RV the day prior to your scheduled pickup date at no extra cost. The owners also gave you compensation which included paying for a rental car along with paying the RV resort camping fees. Unfortunately, motorhomes are not a perfect science and items may become faulty much like your own automobile or home. Although the RV was inspected thoroughly prior to your departure, it seems that the radiator sprung a leak . Upon receiving the news of a radiator leak, the owners immediately located the parts and instead of having the parts shipped out, which would have delayed your trip additional days, they drove the parts out to your camping destination and scheduled the mobile mechanic to repair the RV at your campsite so you and your family could continue to use the RV to camp while having the RV repaired. The owners also incurred a lot of additional expenses by driving out the parts, staying at a hotel and hiring a mobile mechanic instead of having the RV put into a repair facility. They felt the need to go the extra mile so that you and your family could continue on your vacation with minimal interruptions. The owners have already communicated the compensation to you which is the final amount. The RV owners should be commended for their devotion and customer service for getting you back on the road in a timely manner and going the extra mile to ensure you would be back on schedule to continue your trip. The compensation the owners have thoughtfully given still stands. Respectfully, Michelle Starkey - 123 RV Rental
