Purchased their product 'The Shield Deluxe 2009' near a year ago. The program uses the core module from BitDefender which is a fairly good anti-virus engine.
March 22 we received a faulty antivirus update, which incorrectly tagged critical system files as malicious. The problem affected 64-bit Windows versions and left computers unable to boot.
Not believing it could be The Shield Deluxe 2009, plus not having a PC to check for solutions on-line, a complete system restore was necessary. Many hours were spent and data lost.
After the fact I contacted PC Security Shield via e-mail outlining my problem. I left full information and phone numbers. Their response was a canned message to call them.
Now, within 90 days of the subscription end I get an email saying that unless I call them my subscription will be automatically renewed.
This is a bad, bad company with zero customer support. Stay away!
