What next for a loan modification after being duped by Quest Financial Solutions?
|
10/15/2010 2:10 PM (PST)
Does anyone have any CURRENT information on Quest Financial Solutions? They claimed my modification was in the "level 3 review process with the lender". When I got a continual busy signal I called the bank direct. The bank closed my modification with the reason of non-compliance. Quest had not followed up with request from the bank, and of course there is no way to get a hold of them. The bank claims they can't help me. Any suggestions on how to get help besides HUD? I have already filed a complaint with BBB and will find other measures to deal with Quest.

Harley,
The most current information the BBB has will be on the company's Report (at the link above).
Have you tried calling a HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselor? You can speak with a certified counselor by calling 888-995-4673. They can evaluate your housing options, open lines of communication with mortgage lenders, negotiate a loan modification, and help you with household budgeting, all at no cost.
The California Attorney General's press release on "forensic loan audits" is posted here on TrustLink under New Scams.
